Fort Adams State Park

Fort Adams State Park is on the southern tip of Rhode Island's Aquidneck Island. The island can be accessed from highways 138, 114, or 214. From downtown Newport, head south on Thames Street and veer right on Carroll Avenue. You'll then make a quick right on Harrison Avenue. This eventually connects with Fort Adams Drive, which goes north into the park. Also, the park can be entered from the sea by taking either the Jamestown-Newport Ferry or the Oldport Maine Shuttle Service.
