Located in the heart of California, Millerton Lake State Recreation Area is 20 miles northeast of Fresno and Clovis via Highway 145 and Highway 41. The 47 miles of shoreline attract families looking for outdoor fun. For years, Northern Foothill Yokuts lived in the woodlands region. Today, Millerton Lake offers interpretive programs and recreational activities. Some of the wildlife that can be seen here includes cottontails, bobcats, coyotes and mountain lions.

Located within 22 miles of Millerton Lake is SKP Park of the Sierras. The RV sites can accommodate up to 40-foot-long rigs. The daily rate is $21 with a weekly rate of $112, and the monthly rate is $420.

Inside Millerton Lake State Recreation Area State Park
With over 40 miles of shoreline for recreational water sports, this state recreation area offers boating, swimming and fishing. The hillside that surrounds the lake ranges from low-intensity hiking areas to challenging mountain bike trails. The lake is great for bald and golden eagle as well as other wildlife viewings; some mammals you may see are ground squirrels, badgers and mule deer. The staff also offers interpretive programs to help educate visitors about the geography, history and natural resources in the area.

From Fresno, California, head southeast on North Street toward Tulare Street, turn left and follow for about a mile, then merge onto California Highway 41 North. Follow for about 19 miles, turn right onto California Highway 145 North and travel approximately 2 miles. You will begin seeing signs for Millerton Lake State Recreation Area.
